Nathan Wardinski was born and raised in West Allis,
Wisconsin, where he grew up in a suburban community. He has earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Radio-TV-Film Communication and
recently finished his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at
Minnesota State University, creating a feature length screenplay as a thesis.
Nathan began Maverick at the Movies, a weekly radio
program produced and broadcast from 89.7 KMSU FM "The Maverick," in May of
2004. The show features film music and reviews of new theatrical
releases as well as recent and classic DVD releases. The show has also
been a platform for serious film criticism, something lacking in
mainstream media. Since its initial broadcast, Maverick at the Movies
has become the most
widespread source of movie news and reviews in southern Minnesota.
Between 2005 and 2006, Nathan was a regular contributor
to Static, an art and culture magazine available throughout
southern Minnesota. Starting in 2007, Static was replaced by Centered,
which Nathan has continued to participate with as a contributor and as
an editor.
Nathan currently resides in southern Minnesota.
